Quick update, 8/7

First things first--don't miss this must-read recap from a concertgoer (and MJ's reader) who had front-row seats for last night's Tampa show. (Bucky and Ace's sweetness with some very young fans is a joy to read about...)

Most Blogcritics.org writers weren't exactly known as Bucky's biggest fans during the show's run...but times may have changed. This well-done editorial, ostensibly about the LMBO Coyote Joe's affair, posts an intriguing question--could the delightful "band of brothers" bond between this year's Idol guys be a key to their enduring popularity long past the tour, the start of the new Idol season, and beyond? (Hey, we've been saying this since the "boys in black" strolled through those doors during the Idol finale show--talk about collective charisma.) I'm not sure if the "Rat Pack" comparisons completely work, but it's a fun and thought-provoking concept, and kudos to the writer...

A kind reader at the official boards pointed to this fun album of shots from the Pittsburgh show, including a great photo of Bucky posing with the a fan at the fence.

Over at Idolforums, a very funny story about a Bucky fan who might have gotten a tiny bit carried away...

Also at IDF, two different meet-and-greet stories--one from Tampa (with a cameo appearance by season two's Corey Clark) and an after-party post from Sunrise.
