(Photo by DeniseBernadette--click here for her beautiful tour gallery and for more info.)And the suspense continues! As of this writing (it's about 9:00 Eastern), there's no formal word on Bucky's label--if an announcement is made today, it should hit the wires fairly soon. Meanwhile, we're all on pins and needles over here--and those of us who have to be offline for work today (including me, alas) are going to be very eager to hit the boards and blogs as the day goes on. Team Covington and Bucky Country will be exceedingly busy today--be sure to check them out for the latest, and I'll pop in as much as I can (um, without getting myself into trouble!) to update here, as well.
While we're waiting to throw the confetti, some slightly grainy but terrific photos were posted last night by a kind IDF Bucky fan who hit the show in Nashville--the mid-boogie shot up top is a big smile-inducing favorite. (Hey, what can I say? I really like the Bucky Slide.) There's also some fine media from the St. Paul show available at MJ's Big Blog--unfortunately, the very generous filmmaker didn't capture Bucky's solo turns, but "Patience" and his duet with Kellie Pickler are there for your enjoyment. Actually, most of the rest of the show is there--if you're geographically disadvantaged, this is a great way to get a sense of the concert experience. Our thanks to the photographer.
(Back later--preferably with streamers, noisemakers and cheers on hand. Happy Free Agent Day to Bucky, Elliott, Ace, Mandisa, Lisa and Paris--may your careers be filled with success upon success. More news later!)
