Slow ride, take it easy...

A little preview of what it'll be like on the guys' bus comes courtesy of Chris Daughtry, who was interviewed during his homecoming celebration yesterday. From the Charlotte Observer:

In a chat with reporters, Daughtry said the contestants had roommates and fellow Tar Heel Bucky Covington stayed with him for a while after Ace Young was eliminated.

"He snored a lot," Daughtry said of his friend Covington. "I'd beat him with pillows. He didn't even remember it. He'd wake up the next morning and see the pillows and say, 'Oh man, I did it again?'"

Sounds like a set of earplugs might be on someone's packing list...

The official Idol site has just posted some new shots from the finale in the Photos section; the gallery starts here, but if you want to skip ahead to the "guys medley" memories, those begin right about there. Here's Bucky...and here he is again. (Love that one--was someone trying to suppress a giggle?) Kinda dug this shot, too, and who can resist a group hug?

(This is definitely one of the slowest points in the Idol season--post-finale/pre-tour--but there could still be plenty to keep us busy until the fun starts up again. Stay tuned...)
