Quick update, 6/9

Edited to add: Just in, via a kind poster at TWoP , from a post at the Carrie Underwood Fan Forum (registration required)--looks like Bucky's Oklahoma fans got a surprise treat at the Country Fever Fest in Pryor last night:

We got back to our seats that Pam was watching for us and sat down, listening to Sawyer Brown's set. My head was hurting so bad at this point I was just kinda layin in my chair with my head back when all of a sudden Jade starts hollering, "THERE'S BUCKY!!" (From this past season of American Idol) I didn't believe her at first but finally I looked and sure enough.. Bucky sang sweet home alabama with Sawyer Brown and during the ending song he came back out and finished the show with Sawyer. It was really cool.

You'll remember the Bucky/Sawyer Brown buzz from about a month ago; this certainly lends some weight to that past newsflash. We'll be looking for photos and more info for you today--stay tuned! (Thanks to Buckyflowers for the tip--she's also started a discussion thread at the official boards.)

Otherwise...it couldn't be quieter out there. But since the downtime will be with us until the 15th (when the Pop-Tarts Idol page marks the unofficial beginning of pre-tour hype season), here's a little spin around the scene:

Be sure to check out Team Covington for a most intriguing link--a possible insider at the official boards gives a little glimpse of what may (or may not) be happening with Bucky's post-tour recording plans. That alternate version of "Can't Be Wrong" must be quite the showstopper; wish we could hear it.

The last of the Ticketmaster auctions for premium seats end later today--so if you're eager to get as close to Bucky as possible during the live shows, dust off those credit cards and head over there now. (And good luck...)
