A little afternoon video...
Just a quick heads-up from a kind poster at the official boards--the new Behind the Scenes video from finale week has just been posted at the Fox site, and the Bucky board there is buzzing about his funny quips from a makeup chair. (Sadly, my ancient PC won't let me watch videos on the site--if you can see it, please leave a review in comments and I'll enjoy it vicariously!) Back later today...
Oh, it's too bad they deleted that thread. I would have loved to have seen it. The Behind the Scenes video clip of Bucky was quick. He was in the makeup chair and quipped, "I feel beautiful." Then he made a funny smacking sound.
ReplyDeleteOver at televisionwithoutpity.com, American Idol section, the Performers thread, Chris Daughtry thread, a lot of Chris fans are loving his collaboration with Bucky in Tobacco Road. Here are some comments: 1) "He and Bucky on Tobacco Road was definitely one of my favorite parts of the show. They sound awesome together." 2) "I hope there are lots of duets with Bucky on the tour." 3) "Seriously. Bucky and Chris should get together and form a band, forget about Live or Fuel or anything like that!" 3) "I really think this would have some potential if Chris could back off of the whole rock thing a little bit. Their voices blend well together, and if they went the Big and Rich route, a little bit country a little bit rock and roll...well that's very hot right now." 5) "Count me in with those who are sad the Bucky/Chris band will never be. Their voices blended great together and they also had some really nice stage chemistry going on. It'd probably be a good thing to stop fantasizing about this since it's never, ever going to happen. But we'll always have Tobacco Road. Sigh."
Hey, thanks! I went over to TWoP to check that out--have to say I agree that Bucky and Chris do sound very, very good together. Wish someone could talk them into hitting the studio for a duet or two, but I just can't see it happening...however, maybe the positive online reaction caught the ears of whoever's putting together the tour group numbers.
ReplyDeleteAnd what is it with these guys and the joys of the Idol beautification process? I seem to remember Clay Aiken digging a baby brush back in the day. Someone could make a killing on a just-for-men Idol salon, methinks...
Thanks for the review of the clip--sounds like it was quick but fun!
Thanks for the link :-) Yeah it was quick, but kind of cute.. Quickly Elliott said " this is the last day of Idol, and the first day of the rest of my life" !
ReplyDeleteWhat a true statement for A number of them :-) and even with my Satellite connection the first time I went to the link it kept starting and stopping.. The Bucky /Chris duet sounds like a great idea to me too !!!
Hi, Vickie! Elliott's statement is so true--it's going to be really fascinating to see how their careers grow as time goes by...
