(We're almost repaired! Blogging from a brand new PC will commence in about two weeks, heaven and Best Buy willing...)
Here's a little of what's been happening during the (unscheduled and unwanted) blog hiatus:
First, a bit of photo goodness--the same kind poster who shared her snaps from last Saturday's Firehouse performance has posted more at her IdolOnFox profile gallery. (Looks like that was a rockin' good time...)
On Monday, VH1 posted their "Outtakes Idol Style" footage from Best Week Ever on their podcast page (scroll down), and word has it that there's a cute Bucky blooper or two included. (If you can see it, please leave a review in comments--I'm curious!)
Meanwhile, at the official board...from what I can gather, there was a purging spree there yesterday, with several of the more popular threads (including the massive flagship "Bucky Covington Fan Thread") vanishing in a puff of Arial-shaped smoke. Most of the support threads for Crystal, Rocky and Bucky's family seem to have disappeared as well. (Not sure how those were off-topic, exactly; what could be more "Bucky related" than, well, Bucky's actual relatives?) The unofficial--and very attractive--Bucky Country boards (registration required) should be much busier as the summer goes on. And the discussion about a main online meeting place--for both Bucky's longtime fans and for the new supporters he'll undoubtedly attract on tour--is just beginning. We'll keep you posted...
Just for the record, there are still some "Bucky-related" topics going strong at the official boards; at last glance, this one's pretty much a sweet continuation of the support thread for Mrs. Covington, and this one's got the news about Rocky and Caddy Wampus' upcoming June 24th performance at the Freedom Fest in Rockingham. (Of course, you can always check out R. Shawn Lewis' Freedom Fest article at the Richmond County Daily Journal, too--and don't miss Rocky on the front cover [pdf].)
I'll go ahead and post this now, but there's much, much more to catch up with--so I'll try to get back again later today. Stop in tonight, and thanks for bearing with my tech snafus! Soon...
