Hope you're enjoying a peaceful Memorial Day! We'll pause to honor those we hold close in our thoughts and memories today, and to thank them for their enduring gifts to us...
Here's a very quick look at what's happening right now:
Bucky (along with Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler, Ryan Seacrest and quite a few fellow celebrities) was spotted enjoying the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway near Charlotte yesterday, according to the Charlotte Observer. (There's also a discussion thread on the official boards; gotta love Shawn Lewis' "Buckypalooza" idea!)
Stewart Pittman's always-excellent Viewfinder Blues blog has a one-of-a-kind perspective on the star-studded chaos at the Idol finale, along with some great photos of Bucky, Kellie and Chris as they navigate the post-show press crush. Bucky gave Mr. Pittman and Fox 8 reporter Shannon Smith an affectionate shout out in the Encores CD liner notes--there's much mutual respect there, and it shows. (If you're a news junkie in general, and you've ever wondered how the televised madness looks from the other side of the lens, Viewfinder Blues is a must. Thanks to Becky for the heads-up!)
Can't make it to the Rocky Rally before the Greensboro Idol concert? Some enterprising fans have begun plans to put together a binder of well-wishes for Rocky from us out-of-towners. (You'll recall that a similarly sweet keepsake was created for the Bucky Bash a few weeks ago. Click here for details on this fun project--and if you'll be there in person enjoying Rocky and Caddy Wampus, please say hi for us...)
Enjoy your holiday--be back soon!
Thanks for the props! For a shot of Bucky at the Charlotte race, check out my buddy's blog...

Hello, Chan in Seattle! Thanks so much for the sweet compliments--you made me blush =)
ReplyDeleteI can't take credit for the positive vibe about Bucky--he really is going places, and it's truly fun to watch his career begin to bloom. (And something tells me you're not alone...you're not the only one who kind of fell in love with him while he was on Idol, I know!)
So glad you found the blog, and it's a pleasure to meet you!
