There's a little bit of very promising buzz about Bucky's prospects in Nashville; first a reference on the official boards to a "CMT correspondent" doing a call-in for a country music station and saying that Bucky's name has been "plastered all over Nashville for the past two weeks" and that a record deal might be on the horizon. (I'm guessing this is the legendary Hazel Smith--you'll get a link to that very podcast the moment it turns up online, I promise!) Combine this with a rumored Nashville-to-Charlotte flight (via TWoP), and consider the possibilities...could there be an exciting post-tour announcement in the air?(Hey, I've been dreaming about hitting the highway with the wind in my hair and a Bucky Covington CD cranked up to "11" since I first heard him sing "Thunder Rolls" in the semis all those months ago--and I know I'm not alone. Fingers crossed and positive vibrations, y'all...)
Meanwhile, we've got some definite news about the Idol tour--yet another date has been added. There's an August 25th show scheduled for San Diego's iPayOne Center. (Just an off-topic aside--somebody buy the place a capital "I", please. "iPayOne"?) Now, let's hope that the fine folks in Texas will get a show, too.
