Just a very quick update on Bucky's homecoming party/meet-and-greet at Hugo's in Rockingham; a couple of kind posters at the official boards were there to welcome Bucky and his wife Crystal, and to enjoy a performance by Caddy Wampus, featuring Rocky Covington. (Bucky couldn't perform due to the Idol contract's standard restrictions--but by all accounts, everyone had a marvelous time, with plenty of hugs and smiles and excellent music to go around.)One poster mentioned that the next Bucky Bash will likely be on May 6th at Raiders Stadium; no doubt the Richmond County Daily Journal will have more details as the date draws closer.

ReplyDeleteHowdy! Last night...do you mean the Idol show or Bucky's appearance at Hugo's? If you mean the latter, I would have loved to be there to say hello and thanks for all the great music.
ReplyDeleteAs for last night's Idol results...hmmm. My interest in the show has dropped precipitously since...oh, about a week ago. (Hee!) I'll be diplomatic and say this: there are those on Idol who give off the vibe of really loving music and wanting a music career (Bucky is a real musician/singer, as are some others still there) and others who give off a vibe of really loving the idea of being famous--for anything. I hope the ones who love performing music come out of this with real careers, no matter where they finish on the show.
