Also from the interview--Bucky's song on the upcoming finalists' CD will be "Superstition". (We would have loved "Best I Ever Had" as a bonus track, too, but oddly enough, the Idol people haven't asked us what we think...)
And if you're looking for Bucky on TV this week, Monday's the day--the Ellen and Regis and Kelly spots have been confirmed; rumor has it one or both appearances might (might!) include a song, so be sure to have your Tivo/VCR ready. (And there are murmurs of a Letterman appearance, also--we'll update if we get more news, but word will probably turn up here soonest. Good stuff in that thread--go now...)
One of the sweetest things to come out of this week's events is the shared admiration, respect and fondness that Bucky's inspired, both on his own fan boards/threads and on those for other artists. Constantine Maroulis' witty fans at Rawkhands.org have just started a Bucky thread; and over at Bo Country, Vickie has created a gorgeous tribute montage set to Bucky's version of "Real Good Man"--an absolute must-see. (It's an YSI link, so if it's busy, try again in a few minutes. We'll update as needed...)
Bucky's Queen night "Get the Look" and "Style Weekly" pages have been updated at the Fox site...the "Style" page gave us a bittersweet pang at the end, but the stylist's notes are fun. (And I was right about some of Bucky's stage gear being classic/vintage--kudos to the stylist for a great denim and leather look, and to Bucky for wearing it well. Here's a link to Bootstar, the store mentioned in the article, for my fellow fashion addicts.)
Last but not least--this post would have happened much sooner if not for the fact that I've spent much of the evening cleaning a virus off my hard drive. Be careful out there! Idol season is a great time to make sure your anti-virus and spyware programs are up to date. Surf wisely.
See you soon!
