By request, Bucky Covington strums in the sunshine at an outdoor show in Turlock, CA last summer; click here to enjoy a beautiful set of concert photos by the very kind Minnie.Bucky Covington's latest song may be technically unreleased, but it's already showing some early momentum! "I'll Walk" moved gracefully into the top 100 realm on the Mediabase weighted chart this morning, coming in at #83 with a bullet. Stations in Nashville, Memphis and Cincinnati were among those giving it a test-run. If you're not sure when your local country station will add it to the "pick or flick" mix, visit the station's website and check out the schedule (it'll usually be listed in the "on-air" section) and get ready to root for Bucky!
Rooting for Bucky on the video countdowns has been a blast, too--our friend Dixie let us know that "It's Good to Be Us", his most recent Top Ten hit, is no longer listed on the CMT Top 20 Countdown ballot that is linked from the show's main page. We've updated our sidebar link too--and we're looking forward to voting for Bucky's next video when it hits the airwaves. (He is still listed on the GAC Top 20 Country Countdown ballot, though, so feel free to give him some lovin' there as long as we're able!)
In concert news, Bucky, Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley resume Dierks' Throttle Wide Open tour tomorrow with a stop at the big Country Thunder festival in Florence, Arizona. All three, along with Bucky's friend Kellie Pickler, Heartland, Billy Ray Cyrus, Chuck Wicks and Harry Luge, are scheduled for the all-day show. Tickets and information are available on the festival's site, and be sure to check out their newsletter...
Coming up--more Throttle Wide Open concerts at the Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum in Pullman, Washington (Monday, April 21st; tickets at TicketsWest.com), at the Rushmore Plaza in Rapid City, South Dakota with Lee Brice on Wednesday, April 23rd (tickets at eAvenue) and at the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyoming, with Lee Brice on Thursday, April 24th (tickets on sale at the venue's site). Bucky's handy animated Gruvr tour map is especially fun to follow as he makes his way out West, and his official site is the place to be for a concert calendar, meet and greet information and more. Get out there and have a great time!
Going way back for this one--what fun they must have had in Allentown! Here's Bucky Covington and his excellent band doing "I'm Good" during the Raisin' the Bar tour at the Crocodile Rock Cafe, courtesy of the very kind kaitybee. Enjoy!
On the net, Bucky's MySpace blog has been updated with a great piece of video you're sure to love--yep, it's his CMT Music Awards performance clip in all its short but very sweet glory. (You can't help but grin when you see him with his fan-gifted Redneck Guitar--what a lovely way to say thanks!) Enjoy reruns of the 2008 CMT Music Awards on the following dates:

Over at It's Good to Be Us, Midask9 has a "happy new year" bit of encouragement and a wonderful smiling concert shot that you won't want to miss. (Click it and view it at full size--dare you not to smile back!)
Finally, be sure to give Bucky some appaluse at the Duke's New Music Playoffs, where he's competing in the "undefeated " bracket against Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love".
Edited to add that a quick check at Q Country 92.7 paid off--enjoy a few fun interview and meet and greet shots in their recently updated gallery.
More very soon--have a great Friday!
A bullet! YAY. That was fast!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's a tech glitch, but any reason they would have pulled "I'll Walk" off of Bucky's Myspace page?
ReplyDeleteIt is off mine too!
ReplyDeleteHi there! Sorry I missed y'all yesterday--looks like it's back as of this morning (you might have top re-add it to your profile, though--not sure how it works.)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes--we do love us some big plump bullets around here...
