Beesims shared this terrific shot of Bucky Covington on stage in Wallingford, Connecticut--check out more of her beautiful photos at Flickr. Thanks again, Beesims! Thanks to Laura for an update on this week's CMT Top 20 Countdown--it aired this morning as always, but Bucky's exciting video for "It's Good to be Us' was not on the list. (All indications are that a "bump" took place when two newer tunes hopped on.) The good news is that all indications are that we can get it back where it belongs next week! Be sure to let CMT know you're loving Bucky on the countdown--click here to see the video at CMT.com, and give it a vote in this week's Top 20 Countdown survey. (The show also has its very own message board--a perfect opportunity to let everyone know what your favorite video might be..)
A kind elf also asked me to pass this word along, as well---lots of station websites (like New Country 97.3 in Birmingham, where Bucky's playing tonight) have "rate a song" pages where the just-played songs are listed. If you're in town--or if you're a streaming fan--be sure to give him a thumbs up when you hear him on the radio.
(Haven't heard him yet? Make a request--local stations in towns where the Throttle Wide Open tour is playing are generally eager to give the show and the artists the spotlight. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how receptive they can be. As always, the Golden Rule of Requesting applies--only request at stations that you can and do listen to. Your local country station can always use a shot of Covington content, too...)
After you've done all that, why not treat yourself to some seriously terrific photos? Pro concert photographers MintyPics were on hand for Bucky's recent headlining show at The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan, and their stunning gallery will make you feel like you were right there for the rockin' good time. Enjoy the excitement!
Come on back later tonight--the very gracious Hildi is hosting a conference call live from the BJCC this evening, and we'll have the details you'll need. Thanks--and a belated Happy Birthday--to Hildi for her kindness! More very soon--Winnie
