By request, here's a great shot by Happydays from the Estero, FL show last week--click here to see more of her fun concert and meet-and-greet images. Thanks again, Happydays!
Edited to thank Happydays for passing this link along--Bucky's show in Binghamton tonight was the inspiration for this podcast interview at WHWK The Hawk 98.1. Enjoy!
There's good news on all fronts this morning--Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" remains at #10 on the Mediabase weighted chart today and moves up to #13 on the Top 500. Billboard's Hot Country Songs ranks the tune at #11 for April 5th issue (up three notches from last week's #14) and USA Today's Idol Chatter blog reports that sales of Bucky Covington, the album, are on the rise yet again. (He sold 1,600 this week, up from 1,400 for a total of 332,000 and counting.)
And if you missed Bucky's video's initial CMT Top 20 Countdown showing, never fear--it'll be on again tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET (more repeat times here.) Word has it that host Lance Smith gave the Buckaneers a fun shout out--listen for it! (Thanks to noplclkhmlbg for the kind mini-recap. )
Our friend Dana wrote with a reminder about the upcoming Bucky Covington show in Marion: "Just a note to let you know that tickets for the April 9th show at WC Pavilion in Marion, Illinois can also be purchased and printed online at www.wcpavilion.com. The website actually has the show for Wednesday April 10, but it is the 9th!" Thanks so much!
While we're at it, here's another heads-up about that WKDF Birthday Bash at the Sommet Center on March 30th-- tickets are going fast! Get yours soon at Ticketmaster. Randy Owen, Bucky Covington, Restless Heart, Lee Brice, Stephen Cochran, Marshal Reign and Trailer Choir will be on hand to help the station kick off Nashville's "Awesome April"--quite a deal for only $20.
And after you've snagged those seats, enjoy some relaxation at The Covington Times, where Janie's beautiful concert shot of Bucky, a classic Rocky Covington photo, a recap of Bucky's spotlight segment on Lia and an insider's look at callout research for It's Good to Be Us" await you. A Top Ten celebration is in full swing at Midask9's It's Good to Be Us blog today, and check out those incredible concert shots!
At a mere 22 seconds, this is about the shortest video we've ever gotten multiple requests for--but we aim to please! From the Pompano Beach Throttle Wide Open show, here's Bucky Covington (and his dance moves) as captured by the very kind Lisa/Judge of Buck Wild. Many thanks to Lisa for sharing this clip, and thank y'all for writing!
We'll wind it all up for now with a little flurry of nagging...er, encouragement. Bucky's "It's Good to Be Us" is in the Top Ten, but look who's right behind him on the weighted chart. We'll need to keep up the passionate requesting pace to minimize the effect of that possible "superstar polevault", but the good news is that we have proven we are very much up to the task. Be sure to request Bucky's single at your local country radio station and on those nationally syndicated shows tonight. It all adds up in a big beautiful way!
Vote for Bucky: Give "It's Good to Be Us" some Top Ten style lovin' at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Top 20 Countdown.
The 2008 CMT Music Awards are just around the corner--that night could be the start of a fantastic year of awards and honors for Bucky, and won't it be cool to know that the very first major award he wins will be a fan-voted show of appreciation?Register at CMT and vote now--then pass along those links to everyone you can possibly think of! Voting ends April 11th, (soon!), and getting that belt buckle into Bucky's hands depends on us...
More later--have a tremendously good Thursday!
