Coffee break news: video from 98fm KCQ in Flint, and a Power Picks alert

Here's a sweet video montage from Bucky Covington's February 22 show at the Machine Shop in Flint, courtesy of the fine folks at 98fm KCQ. Looks like it was a hot one!

Bucky and his incredibly talented band are awesome live--whether it's a large arena or an intimate venue, the experience can't be beat! Click here for a list of tour dates, and here for Bucky's MySpace concert calendar, and get ready for the time of your life...

And here's a heads-up about tomorrow's CMT Power Picks--Bucky's "It's Good to Be Us" will face a head-to-head challenge at noon ET on Tuesday. His matchup will happen toward the middle of the hour. (A full lineup of matches for Tuseday is posted here.) We'll post another reminder tomorrow morning--but for now, warm up those mouse-clicking fingers. (Thanks, Laura and Dixie.) More soon!--Winnie

    Ms. Buckymania,

If "It's Good To Be Us" continues it's slow descent, do you think there will even be a third single from this project? In a few months could they be thinking about a single for a new CD? Just hard to watch the charts move so slowly. Keep up the requesting everyone!!

  2. Hi, Anon!

I think "It's Good to Be Us" is doing well--seems to be a very slow ascent, but we're getting used to that, as maddening as it is. And there will definitely be more singles from the album...

The last buzz from Bucky himself (in an interview) is that they're making final decisions about single #3, but he and his crew are-- wisely, I think--keeping mum, since the current tune has moved up three notches on R&R in the past four weeks, with bullets.

I agree with you that it's really hard to watch the glacial charts! Pop and rock charts seem like NASCAR compared to the Sunday-drive pace of the country singles. But the big picture at the moment is looking good--one album, two singles and two hits so far is a nice way to start off a career...

Okay poster at 4:33pm..."Its Good to be Us" has a 169 strong bullet so all seems well...that is up not down. :D Too early to make any decision about a third single when this one is still on the rise. :)

6:48 poster...I now notice that I did write "descent" rather than "ascent", must have been the pessimistic mood I was in at 4:33.
