It's a beautiful--well, rainy but beautiful, here in the East--Saturday morning, and no matter which side of the country you're on, you've got a chance to hear some distinctive Covington vocals tonight. Bucky and the Idols will be performing in Tacoma this evening (try your hand at Ticketmaster roulette, and a great seat might be yours!) and Rocky and Caddy Wampus are appearing at Hugo's in Rockingham tonight. IDF is still fairly quiet, with no new photos posted as of this writing (a sure sign the back-to-school crush has started), but there are a few reviews of last night's Portland show posted at the official boards today--opinions on the concert's merits differed, to put it mildly. However, all can agree that Chris Daughtry's shout-out to his devoted young fan Boey was a beautiful highlight. this thread will bring back memories (Oh, the anxiety! The redialing! The group hug after 50s results night--I still recall being literally weak-kneed watching that one) and remember those symbolic support avatars? It's been a long, sweet trip--and while the Idol part of it's just about over, the fun of following Bucky Covington's career is just beginning. (More about the ongoing future-plans discussion in the next post.)
